Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for July 2022

The Return of the Saints

Try to count them: Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance IIWarriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition, KLONOA Phantasy Reverie SeriesSpidersaursCapcom Arcade 2nd StadiumRiver City Saga: Three Kingdoms, and a ton of Arcade-ports for PlayStation 4 by City Connection as well as the usual steady stream released by Hamster Corp. It's safe to say that July was quite a month for gamers who have already been around the block for a decade or two. Even without a thick pair of nostalgia-glasses, it's always nice to see beloved franchises and genres make grand returns on modern platforms in some form or another. These returns are good not just for us to enjoy them again, but also to enable a whole new generation to fall in love with them.

But even if you prefer your glasses without rose-tinted lenses: As seems always the case these days, July also saw a heap of new releases across all platforms and genres besides the ones mentioned above. You're sure to find something new for your friend-group to play if you just take a look below.

And our database? It saw an expansion by another 188 entries, and with that, we smashed through the milestone of 11.000 co-op games. After reaching this number, our beloved editor-in-chief was certain that we're finally nearing a complete state in terms of already released co-op titles. Our database manager on the other hand... Well, he burst into a fit of laughter and hasn't really stopped since. We don't know what to make of that and just let him continue with his work.
