Sega's classic arcade and Dreamcast game, Cosmic Smash, isn't very well known internationally since it was only released in Japan. That hasn't stopped RapidEyeMovers and developer Wolf & Wood from reviving the property with a sequel, though! C-Smash VRS is now available exclusively on PlayStation VR2. The first-person brick-breaking game actually looks really sweet and features 2-player online co-op, so we'll call this a win for Sony's struggling virtual reality accessory.
What's a C-Smash? Well, the game plays like a futuristic version of squash. One or two players use rackets to knock a ball at their targets. Only here, you're aiming to knock out bright-glowing bricks rather than to score points on an opponent. Virtual reality provides a much greater level of immersion than in a typical brick breaker, though.
C-Smash's Roguelike progression, futuristic sci-fi style, and catchy electronic music should make for a kinetic and exciting experience. 2-player online co-op and versus modes are supported too. Let's hope you can find another PlayStation VR2 owner to join in the fun!
C-Smash VRS sells for $29.99 on the PlayStation Store. A free demo is also available, so be sure to grab it if you've got the PlayStation VR2!
