The demo for Co OPERATION: MultiTurn is now live on Steam. Indie studio Mind Feast Games have been developing their debut title for over two years, including a year of closed-testing on indie platform Itch. They've been active in our Discord as well looking for feedback from co-op gamers!
Co OPERATION: MultiTurn is a synchronized-turn-based, tactical game for four players. with a planned future update to increase maximum number of players rise to eight. Players take the role of hospital volunteers who are tasked with healing all the patients from various mental and physical conditions by utilizing their PCs & Phones for a multiscreen experience similar to the JackBox Games.
Research
A collaboration with a psychology department of Basel University in Switzerland verified that the core experience of Co OPERATION: MultiTurn helps people to feel socially and emotionally connected.
Dual-screen
Co OPERATION: MultiTurn is a dual screen game. Similar to the Jackbox series of games, only the host player needs to have the game installed. Guest players join an online session by entering a 4-digit room code on their phone, laptop or any other device with a web browser. Once connected to a game session, each player controls a character via their phone or other connected device.
Modding
Modding support is built into Co OPERATION: MultiTurn. After downloading the game, any user can access the code and asset files. The files can be edited and players can make their own levels, characters, dialogue, audio and gameplay scripts. Essentially, players can create their own turn-based games. Mods can then be played online using Co OPERATION’s dual screen system.
