Endless Ocean Luminous Will Bring 30-Player Online Co-op Diving to Switch in May

Get ready to go deep under the sea with a fleet of your fellow Switch owners.

Way back in the simpler time of 2008, Arika and Nintendo released a cooperative diving game called Endless Ocean on the Nintendo Wii. Somebody must have liked that game, because it now has a sequel coming called Endless Ocean Luminous. This installment promises beautiful underwater visuals, peaceful gameplay, and 30-player online co-op.

Endless Ocean Luminous Shared Dives

Official description:

In the unexplored Veiled Sea, players can encounter over 500 known species, and a variety of biomes like freshwater, saltwater, and frozen environments which change throughout the day. Uncover the Mysteries of the Veiled Sea by searching for buried relics, unusual sights, and anomalous creatures. You might even make a friend by inviting a manta ray or two to swim with you or a lobster to hitch a ride on your tank!

With its soundscape and serene visuals, Endless Ocean Luminous offers leisurely gameplay and open-ended sensory experiences. Nintendo Switch Online members can even explore the ocean together in Shared Dives. Greet your fellow divers with a friendly gesture and then delve into the depths to share discoveries. As you complete dives, you’ll be able to unlock suit colors, stickers, and additional gestures to customize your diver.

The new 5-minute trailer shows off the game's large-scale Shared Dives. Players can meet and team up, exploring together, engaging in group emote shenanigans, jumping to their friends' locations on the map, and more.

Endless Ocean Luminous will arrive on Switch on May 2. It will cost $49.99 and will be sold in digital and physical formats. A free 7-day Nintendo Switch Online trial is included, so everybody can dip their toes into the co-op Shared Dives feature.
