Last year, Polish developer Event Horizon released a follow-up to their popular CRPG, Tower of Time. The new game, Dark Envoy, has received a steady stream of updates since launch, addressing player feedback and adding new features. The "Director's Cut" update arrived this week, bringing even more improvements. Given that Dark Envoy supports 2-player online co-op, now looks like a great time to give it a shot.

As for the Version 1.4 "Director's Cut" update, here are main features:
- Less shy about connections with Tower of Time universe, new main meta level voiced narration
- Major narrative changes, reworked main cutscenes, some VO reworked, creating a completely different experience, especially during the first few hours of the game.
- Balancing, polishing then reworking again, then repeating the process
- Improved Jaan map and unique boss items

Dark Envoy costs $29.99 on Steam. It is not currently Steam Deck compatible. Xbox and PlayStation versions have been announced for sometime in the future.
