We're very hoppy to share fresh news about Frogun Encore, the sequel to Frogun. The original game was a charming low-polygon 3D platformer that did not support co-op. The new game will support 2-player local co-op, so it's bound to be better. What's more, Frogun Encore finally has a release date: June 25! That means that things are about to get hopping.
In Frogun Encore, players control Renata and her friend Jake as they work to thwart the evil Fly Bois. The game primarily uses a top-down perspective to allow both players a good view of the action. The kids can run and jump, double jump, and use their powerful Froguns (living frog guns) to grapple around environments. Enemies that have been grappled by a Frogun can be thrown at other foes or off of cliffs.
As the protagonists navigate each level, they can also collect a variety of coins, gems, and other items. Grappling around everywhere and finding all the loot is a big part of the fun. Our heroes travel from level to level via plane on the map screen, and levels can be replayed as well.
