Uh oh, Xbox Revealed the New TMNT Shredder's Revenge DLC a Little Early

The Radical Reptiles DLC looks radical, but it's not actually out yet. Cowabummer!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is one of the most popular beat 'em ups of the last few years, so it came as no surprise when the game received a DLC entitled "Dimension Shellshock." We even interviewed the developer, Tribute Games, about it. What did come as a surprise, however, is when Xbox published a trailer for a second DLC called "Radical Reptiles" today. No press release was sent out, and the DLC doesn't seem to be available just yet.

Microsoft pulled the trailer once they realized that it wasn't supposed to public yet, but GameSpot kindly published it on their own channel. From the trailer, we know that the "Radical Reptiles" DLC will include two new characters: Mona Lisa and Mondo Gecko. Mona Lisa is a mutant salamander who was created for the 1987 TMNT cartoon, and Mondo Gecko has appeared in a variety of media, including the '87 series and the recent TMNT: Mutants Unleashed film, where he was voiced by Paul Rudd. Both characters received action figures in the 1987 Playmates toyline.

Along with the paid DLC, the game will receive a free update that adds a new remixed soundtrack featuring lots of popular game music composers.

We don't know when the DLC will be officially announced, but it could be later this week. Stay tuned, Turtles fans! In the meantime, be sure to read out TMNT: Shredder's Revenge co-op review and developer interview.

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge sells digitally for $24.99 on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and Steam. The Steam version is fully Steam Deck compatible.
