Fresh new things have been taking place over at Epic games with the Title Update #4 content announcement for Gears of War 2. Epic Games programmer Joe Graf hopped on their forums to give us a few confirmations for the Title Update, including some great news when asked about the availability of experience points in Horde Mode.
"Yes. Glad that's out there, because I've wanted to talk about it for a while. It's not done the same way as versus mp, but you will get XP for playing horde"
He also mentioned that horde mode wave 1 wouldn't have enough experience to farm on, so we can only assume that means there will be Experience Point increases as you climb the wave ladder. Another great announcement with this update, is the continue option after failing a wave in Horde Mode. When asked about regrouping after a parties death to continue up the Horde mode ladder, Mr. Graf commented.
"[Title Update 4] changes that and you can continue from your fail point."
As we can only imagine, there may be more goodies in store for us when we get closer to release date. Title Update #4 is expected to go live shortly before the DLC packs are released on July 28, 2009! Take a look at the teaser that G4 has on the new DLC packs as well!
