Microsoft today announced that the Xbox 360 console has gone on to sell over 30 million units world wide to date, which represents a 28% growth over last year in sales. That's pretty impressive number. Microsoft's console is already leading this generation in the sheer number of co-op games it supports in both retail and arcade releases.
Some other numbers? 8.6 unit attatch rate, which means every 360 owner owns an average of 8.6 games. There has also been 14.5 Billion dollars in consumer spending on all 360 products to date. Finally there are over 20 million Xbox Live accounts, bringing a ton of co-op partner potential to your finger tips.
Finally Microsoft promises their E3 announcements next week will "underscore our commitment to bringing blockbuster entertainment experiences to everyone " Whatever that means, if it means more cooperative gaming...sign me up!
