According to Destructoid, a very reliable source has told them that Electronic Arts will unveil Left 4 Dead 2 at E3 next week. The original game was a run away four player co-op smash hit. Players took the role of survivors Bill, Louis, Francis and Zoey; and worked together to survive a zombie apocalypse.
The interesting thing is it doesn't sound completely like a new sequel, as players will now take the role of four different survivors. The maps would be set in the same locales as Left 4 Dead, but they would be in a different area, presumably during the same time frame. We can expect plenty of new weapons including a baseball bat, axe, chainsaw and maybe even a flame thrower.
Finally there could be a new boss character or two, you know, so people don't always have to yell "tank." We'll find out more next week at E3, but for now we are keeping our fingers crossed for another solid cooperative experience from Valve.
