Co-Op Release Alert: Monster Hunter Tri

It's a huge hit in Japan, but the Monster Hunter series has never quite taken off here in North America.  Capcom hopes to change all that with their latest entry into the series, Monster Hunter Tri for the Nintendo Wii.

Available today as a stand alone or bundled with the new Classic Controller Pro, Monster Hunter Tri allows four players to hunt giant beasts together online, or two players to play together locally in split screen.  One really unique feature the game offers is the ability to save your character to your Wii-mote and then bring it with you to a friends house.

With three different control options, Wii-Speak Support, Four player co-op, and hundreds of beasts to hunt - Tri looks to be the biggest and baddest game of the series.

Will you be hunting monsters?
