What Could Have Been: Mercenaries 3

Here at Co-optimus enjoy a solid co-op experience. Sure the game may not be perfect, but Mercenaries 2: World In Flames qualifies as a solid co-op experience. We take a look now at what could have been a third installment in the Mercenaries series had the developer Pandemic Studios not closed down.

Mercenaries developers Pandemic went bust last year, while members of the studio were hard at work on a third game in the sandbox warfare series. This is what it would have looked like, had it ever been released.

Kotaku.com gives us a first and only look at what would have been Mercenaries 3: No Limits (originally thought to be titled "Mercs Inc.") in this video footage* showing a lot of conceptual ideas, as well as gameplay that we'll probably never experience together. It even shows some fun co-op footage in a fun driving session that can only be in a Mercenaries game.
