Your movement-based co-op Christmas may be in jeopardy. If you are expecting to give or receive a Kinect this holiday season, you best get on it. According to Technolog on MSNBC.com, retailers could be running out of their supply of Kinects. The article mentions how some industry analysts report that news of a shortage could just be retailers trying to drum up demand.
A quick Amazon.com search shows that something is working, because they have them listed at $219.75 new, and up to $399.99 used, however that works, (and no, it's not the Xbox 360 bundle, it's just the camera/Kinect Adventures combo). The MSRP for the Kinect is a cool $150 dollars, so some Ebenezers are going to be seeing a nice return on their investment. Availability differs from region to region. So if you see a ton of them at your local Wal-Mart, don't be a jerk and buy them all in hope of making a quick buck. On a side note, the PlayStation Move is holding steady at $99.99.
