The grandiose reveal is finally here. Well, okay...it's not so grandiose. But it is interesting, especially when you consider the prospects of playing SOCOM 4's five-player cooperative mode with a Sony Move Sharpshooter.
Yes, you heard right: cooperative mode. Sadly, the game will not be shipped with the ability to play the main campaign with your friends. Instead, you are given six maps to arrange as you please - creating your very own progression of environments. If you so choose, you can also change up the difficulty (which changes enemy counts as well as making adjustments to their AI), and can randomize scripted events.
Co-op in SOCOM 4 will be an online only affair this April 19th. To whet your appetite Zipper has released the below trailer.
It looks like plain and simple fun - like the classic SOCOM games used to be - but whether history repeats itself or not is yet to be seen.
