The multi-award winning Dead Nation just got a little better. A new patch is scheduled to go live Monday, March 7th that enables online voice chat. We gave the zombie twin stick shooter a 4 out of 5 for our Co-Op Review for the high production values and persistent upgrade system. We balked a little at the high difficulty level of the game. Finnish Developer Housemarque addresses this issue in the new patch with checkpoint saves. They also promise "even further surprises for all the Dead Nation players out there!"
Housemarque also provides a new Developer Diary on Dead Nation. The heavy Finnish accents of the devs give the video a great tone. I have a feeling they may be taking orders from Hans Gruber. The video gets hilarious at 3:55, and then it gets dark. Not quite Until the Light Takes Us dark, but more like Metalocalypse dark. Fun stuff.
