Brought to you in stunning HD, but forever alone
The list of features for the Playstation 3 exclusive Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Trilogy, originally had me preparing my night vision goggles (free with my copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) and donning my all in one black Lycra stealth suit in excitement:
• The first three games – Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
• 3D Stereoscopic support for 3D TVs
• Some exciting and challenging Trophies
• Graphics in HD resolution
However, it appears that Ubisoft had forgotten to reveal one major feature; that is until their PR specialist Alex Monney told the readers of the Playstation Blog that.
Sorry no co-op will be included in the trilogy.
This means that Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory will no longer have the standalone co-op campaign that made it one of the games of 2005. We can at least cheer ourselves knowing that although we play alone, at least it will be in stunning High Definition 3D. What do you mean I can't afford a 3DTV? Get me my Lycra outfit; I'm going down to the shops to pilfer one!
