The Baconing, the rather oddly named sequel to DeathSpank, has finally received concrete release dates. The Playstation 3 version debuts on Tuesday, August 30, while the Xbox 360 version lands a day later on August 31.
The Baconing stars annoying-voiced hero DeahSpank as he embarks on a quest to destroy a bunch of magical thongs in order to destroy an evil force. He needn’t do it alone as the game will once again allow a sidekick to tag along in local co-op mode. This time there four different sidekicks, but no word yet on whether the second player can actually earn Achievements/Trophies or not. God, I hope so. Bad co-op is pretty much the same thing as no co-op, don’t you think?
