Welcome to Beyond Co-Op, a weekly piece that talks about industry stories that may or may not be related to co-op gaming.
The stories for this week:
- Team Bondi Shuts Down, Money Owed
- Alan Wake 2 in Development for Next Xbox?
- Epic's Infinity Blade 2 Coming Out December 1 for iOS
- Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Set for March 6, 2012 Release
- Forza Motorsport 4, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record This Week
Team Bondi Shuts Down, Money Owed
Team Bondi was shut down this week officially. They supposedly still owe people $1.4 million including the boss of Team Bondi. It really is sad that the group had to be dumped after creating a game that has sold over 4 million copies, but it is obvious that the problems between it and Rockstar were just too great to overcome.

Alan Wake 2 in Development for Next Xbox?
Rumors are floating that Remedy is working on Alan Wake 2 for the next Xbox system. Along with this there are also rumors of other developers doing some next generation work too such as Rare and Turn 10. I think this is fantastic news since I thought Alan Wake was one of the best games of last year on any system. Remedy has said they’re working on something in the Alan Wake universe, but have confirmed it is not Alan Wake 2. Confusing, but hopefully we’ll see signs of both endeavors soon.

Epic's Infinity Blade 2 Coming Out December 1 for iOS
Along with the unveiling of the iPhone 4s on Tuesday, Epic was on hand to show off Infinity Blade 2 which is coming out for iOS devices on December 1. The first game sold like gangbusters and netted the company about $20 million. I don’t own anything other than an old iPod Touch, but I have heard good things about this game. Of course a day later Apple pioneer Steve Jobs died. He will be missed.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Set for March 6, 2012 Release
There is finally a set date for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier to come out: March 6, 2012. It’s been a while since the last game in the series and it is sounding like the Rainbow Six series might finally see a game after this one comes out.

Forza Motorsport 4, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record This Week
A relatively quiet release week before the craziness starts next week with Batman: Arkham City releasing and continues on pretty much every week after that through Thanksgiving. This week there is Forza Motorsports 4 leading the way. There is also the next Ace Combat game and Frank West’s view of the Fortune City situation with Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
