Put your average PC gamer up against your average console gamer and what have you got? Not two pasty looking blokes in their 20s, but different gaming audiences, with differing tastes. Capcom certainly believe this to be true and they consider the PC gamer to be a little hardier. The PC version of Resident Evil 6 will have an exclusive super tough version of Mercenaries Mode called 'No Mercy'.
The RE6 Mercenaries Mode is a nice addition to an already co-op heavy game. The game may have had its flaws, but playing the 2 player co-op shooter/tactical Mercenaries was a highlight. The pre-order Mercenaries DLC already proved a tougher task, but this is not enough for our PC brethren - they want it harder!
Due out on March 22nd, 'No Mercy' will have more enemies on screen to tackle. This will prove a tougher challenge, but will make it easier to rack up those combo points. If you are worried that Capcom's Zombie fest may not run on your rig, the publisher are kindly releasing a PC Benchmark Test in February to determine whether your PC is tough enough for the game.
Console gamers should not feel too left out, theyare also getting some DLC, just not of a co-op nature. The new 'Siege' Mode will cost $3.99 and is a versus game style that has one team protecting an AI character, whilst the other team tries to take the AI out. Not really Co-Optimus' bag, but check out a video for the 'Siege' mode anyhow:
