Once again, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be delayed for the PlayStation Vita, but not without some love in return. Sony has issued a free copy of Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked on the PS3 for those that purchase Full Frontal Assault near release.
This is the second time the PlayStation Vita version of the game has been delayed so far, originally to launch right beside its PlayStation 3 counterpart last November. It has since been past its first delay to January 29th. As of now, Full Frontal Assault will be pushed back into spring of 2013.
Greg Phillips, producer of developer at Tin Giant, has stated to Sony of America they’ve been working on the game “night and day” to get the PlayStation Vita version up to standards “expected by our fans”, but still needs more time to make it so.
To compensate for those who’ve been patiently waiting for the game to come out, Sony will be giving away free Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked copies (soon to arrive in HD) for those who’ve purchased Full Frontal Assault on their PlayStation 3 consoles. Sony has revealed that this giveaway will begin around the time that Full Frontal Assault will arrive this spring, though the exact date of the new release has yet to be announced. We’ll keep everyone posted!
We realize that this delay may be disappointing for our fans, but please know that we are doing our best to get the game into your hands as soon as possible.
