Nine years ago, in the summer of 2010, I began this MMO Co-Opportunities column. As a fan of MMOs, I saw value in highlighting the co-op opportunities (or “co-opportunities”) within individual games. For the first year, I was able to cover one MMO a month, focusing on the unique opportunities I (or my fellow writers) saw within each game. I couldn’t do this indefinitely, however, since there was both a finite number of MMOs on the market, not to mention ones I had played. I switched to a news round-up format, with the ability to fall back onto the original format when I was able to play a new MMO.
Since this is, in name, the 100th issue of MMO Co-Opportunities (turns out I made some numbering errors over the years and skipped a few numbers), I wanted to do something special. Below is a collection of all the MMOs we’ve covered on MMOCO throughout the past 9 years as well as the current age and availability of the MMO. MMOs are not as popular or as prevalent as they were when I first started this column, but I thought it would be interesting and valuable to take a look back. Enjoy.
