The PC-version offers two co-op modes:
Proving Grounds (5 players): Sharpen your skills and try out new ships. The Proving Grounds follow a similar format to Team Deathmatch, except you only face off against AI-controlled ships. Depending on matchmaking, you will have other players and / or AI ships fighting alongside you on your team. Each battle gives you Credits and XP (although it is less than what is awarded in PvP game modes).
Havoc (4 players): It pits you and three teammates against increasingly difficult waves of enemy ships. However, these aren’t just any vessels looking for a fight. They’re commanded by the Dead Horde, a ruthless faction of criminals and ex-navy officers. Sent by the nation of Troja into the depths of the Scum Belt, the Dead Horde's mission is to destroy the region’s navigation beacons, or Okeanides—and they’ll fire on any ship that gets in their way. Your ability to work with your team and adapt to changing threats determines how long you can withstand their relentless assault.
Dreadnought is about one thing: team-based, capital ship combat. It’s a free-to-play shooter that puts you at the center of battles in space and above the surfaces of colonies across the solar system.
But it’s not just you and your guns against the world. You have your teammates—outlaw captains like yourself—and a range of ballistic weaponry, Goliath nuclear torpedoes, and long-range Tesla cannons to fill out your earth-shaking arsenal.
