A second player can jump in at any time, taking control of either Mark or Zeal.
Considered one of the more obscure Irem games, Mystic Riders ventures into a more fantastical setting rather than the usual dark or Giger-esque Irem style that gamers are familiar with.
You can play as either Mark or Zeal, using their magic and broom to your advantage as you progress through each stage. You can also fling your broom in a boomerang fashion to block projectiles or get a taste of an early version of the dodge roll, a move that is now common in gaming.
