With only two weeks until release, there is no doubt that Child of Light is one beautiful looking game. We have seen screens and trailers that showed this, but the latest The World of Lemuria trailer is the most gorgeous yet.
We already know from the images and trailers we have seen that Child of Light is one good looking game, but I for one would like to see more! Some of these new images may be more of the same, but they also give us a look at the character and crafting sides of the game.

This game in particular not only caught our eye with its beautiful art style, but with its simple cooperative mechanics shown through the gameplay. Since Ubisoft's Child of Light isn't too far off from release, a new trailer was uploaded to showcase the game; a special co-op trailer this time!
For my money, there is nothing out there that meets Child of Light for graphical awe. The first impressions enchanted me in a way few games do, and has refused to let me go ever since. The visuals alone would have kept me begging for more, though combine that with combat influenced by Grandia 2 and April 30th needs to get here faster. This little title swoops in at $14.99 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the PC.
I really appreciate video games with visuals reminiscent of real world styles. Such as Puppeteer's dedication to their wood and string motif, or how Little Big Planet looks like everything is made of yarn. Child of Light continues to be a feast for the eyes with its watercolor / coloring book look. Such a charming sense of style lends itself to the comparison of a fairy tale, which is apt for a game about a girl with wings.
If someone would have told me that the team behind Far Cry 3 planned to follow up their FPS with a 2d sidescroller tribute to JRPGs inspired by fairytales with asynchronous co-op, then I would have laughed until I ruptured a blood vessel. Well, Ubisoft went ahead and announced that eerily specific thing. Child of Light soars to PS4, PS3, 360, XBox One, PC, and WiiU sometime in 2014. How did I not see this coming?
