A new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game popped up on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace and Steam today. If you're a 360 owner TMNT: Out of the Shadows marks the finale of this year's Summer of Arcade! If you're a PC gamer, it's just a Wednesday release. We have a launch trailer for you to judge. Do it.
We sometimes forget just how important a video game’s soundtrack can set the tone. In this behind-the-scenes video, Just Blaze, producer of the game’s original soundtrack, describes the original TMNT games and cultural influences that helped to bring TMNT: Out of the Shadows a whole new perspective.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will be here very soon, but not before we received the final gameplay trailer of the turtles in action, featuring our favorite purple clad, tech-geek: Donatello. We get a glimpse of his technique oriented fighting style, thus completing our look at what every last turtle of the group can do.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is looking to be totally tubular. The release of their second character trailer has Raphael kicking the shell out of some unlucky Foot Soldiers. The 4 player co-op brawler is resembling more of the TMNT games we were used to back in the 16 bit era, instead of the dark path the franchise has taken in the recent years.
Stepping into the spotlight one by one, a new series of trailers have begun trickling through the intertubes promoting the impending release of the arcade brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. It starts with Michelangelo, who we already know "is a party dude". He also happens to be the youngest and fastest member of the turtle bunch. The trailer below shows off some of his moves, and the image above shows off his ability to induce nightmares.
A little bit of gameplay footage has been released from the upcoming brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, complete with commentary from some of IGN's finest. The game is still in pre-alpha but is coming along quite nicely, sporting a visual style that leans closer to the modern incarnation of the TMNT crew but with gameplay geared towards those who grew up with the original turtles, a.k.a. the only real TMNT. That's right, we said it.
Ah, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I can probably sing the theme song, if you want --and not that crappy new stuff. I'm talking pure, unadulterated, 1987 choice-cut awesome. Too late. It's in my head now, and it will reside there for the duration of this post. Activision just announce a new TMNT game. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will be available for digital download on the XBLA, PSN, and PC later this summer. Four players can don the reptilian shells of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo in four player online co-op.
