Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is a TMNT-themed roguelike from Super Evil Megacorp. Originally an Apple Arcade game, Splintered Fate made the jump to Switch back in July. Not long after, the Steam version was announced. Now it's finally here, and it's still a kick-butt Ninja Turtles experience. Splintered Fate supports 4-player local and online co-op, plus cross-play with existing versions, so finding a foursome will be cinch.

WayForward's River City Girls 2 has been out for nearly two years now, but new things are still in store for it. The highly anticipated "Double Dragon" DLC was announced back in April without a release date. Well, it turns out that release is nearly upon us! The "Double Dragon" DLC will be released on November 12, adding two new playable characters and more. A free update will arrive at the same time, so everybody's River City Girls 2 experience is about to get better.

Back in June, Chasing Rats Games announced a creepy cult-based game called Worship. The game certainly has things in common with Cult of the Lamb, the popular cult game that recently gained co-op via an update. The popular Funko Pops toyline finally has a full game to call its own. Funko Fusion, from 10:10 Games and Skybound Games, has arrived on consoles and Steam. The third-person action game features over 60 playable Funko Pop characters and levels taken from more than 20 franchises. Surprisingly, however, the co-op multiplayer that was promised back in May is nowhere to be seen. As it turns out, co-op will arrive in November through an update.

Super Evil Megacorp has created an exciting and addictive roguelite featuring everyone's favorite teenage turtles. Splintered Fate features 4-player local and online co-op, but there's a catch: it has no matchmaking! That makes it tough to find people to splinter your fate with. Thankfully, the developer recently released a roadmap that promises matchmaking and more cool features for the future.

Having made a name for itself with the Curious Expedition series, German indie developer Maschinen-Mensch is now at work on an even bigger project called Mother Machine. Hey, that's what their company name means! Anyway, Mother Machine is a promising sci-fi platformer/roguelike in which a team of cutesy critters explores caverns for the sentient machine that created them. It will feature plenty of creative co-op mechanics when it arrives early next year.

Just a few days ago, Activision released the first trailer for the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. That thing was scary! I'm still scared. But I need to get over it, because even more Zombies details have arrived. This year's Zombies mode will feature a Guided mode to help ease players into the always-too-hard co-op mode, an optional third-person camera, and more. We're talking about spooky stuff, but it's cool nonetheless.

Time to Morp from Team Halfbeard and Yogscast Games is a charming colony sim and automation game that's set on an alien planet. The game is still in Steam Early Access, so it has lots of room to grow. It just grew a lot, actually, thanks to the arrival of the "Double the Fun" update. With the addition of the new farming system, abilities, and toys for co-op, the game really has grown a lot since its debut.

One of the most exciting aspects of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has to be its Zombies mode. The 4-player online co-op mode will feature a return to round-based gameplay, two new maps, and a suspenseful story. Thanks to today's trailer and official blog post, we now know the Zombies scenario and characters as well.

Now that Earth Defense Force 6 is finally available in English worldwide, PlayStation and Steam players are working their way through the game's 146 missions and five difficulty levels. It took yours truly a solid two weeks and 70 hours or so to complete the game on Hard difficulty, but I've still got the Hardest and Inferno difficulties to tackle. Back in the Xbox 360 days, Castle Crashers captured the hearts of gamers with its addictive beat 'em up RPG gameplay and brilliant artwork and humor. The game would later be ported to modern consoles as Castle Crashers Remastered. While a sequel has yet to materialize, it turns out that The Behemoth actually has something in store for Castle Crashers fans: new DLC. The catch is that new DLC is only coming to Steam, but we can hope for a console release someday.

In late 2023, The Behemoth released Alien Hominid Invasion on Xbox, Switch, and Steam, a roguelite spin-off of the classic run-and-gun shooter, Alien Hominid HD. PlayStation fans were left out in the cold, forced to stare through a frosted window while the cool kids got to play alien. Thankfully, both Alien Hominid Invasion and Alien Hominid HD have now been announced for PlayStation 4 and 5.
