Working together is obviously important in its own right, but it becomes extra crucial when your task centers around something delicate, like an egg in a spoon, or a souffle, or the corpse of your dead father.  Chariot, the much-lauded game from Frima Originals, centers around just such a situation (the one with paternal demise, specifically) and, as of March 10th, will be available for friends, couples, and possibly strangers who happen to own an Apple TV.

Owners of the very charming, puzzle platforming Chariot on the Xbox One can now enjoy the new Royal Gadget DLC. This content adds five new gadgets to the game's existing repertoire and also allows you to play as the Royal Shopkeeper.

I am a fan of the puzzle/platformer Chariot. The wife and I put in a good chunk of time playing through the game on our PS4; working together to not only get every collectible we could but in some cases to just make it through a level. So I'm glad to hear that it will be getting some DLC love, even if it is for the Xbox One version only.

Speedrunners can utterly wreck your favorite games and leave you wanting more. When indie developer Frima opened the floodgates with a speedrunning contest featuring its 2014 couch co-op favorite Chariot, the end results surpassed their wildest expectations. Here's the story of how a co-op speedrunning team achieved a new world record....

One of my favorite local co-op games from 2014 was the action/puzzle platformer, Chariot. Two players work together to guide dearly departed dad's coffin to a resting place fit for a king. To get it there, you'll have to push, pull, and ride the sarcophagus through a variety of levels and challenges. Frima Studios announced yesterday that players who can do that the fastest, will be eligible to win some nice real world loot!

It's time once again to pick your favorite co-op game of the year. We divide our awards into two categories, AAA and Indie. We nominate games that we feel showcase great cooperative features - whether that's a solid story involving all players, innovative mechanics, or just plain fun with friends.

With the sales of PlayStation 4s and Xbox Ones going at an impressive pace, it can be a little too easy to forget that the Wii U is also around.  The little console that can may get games a little late sometimes, but it gets them eventually.  The latest later release is Chariot, a 2 player co-op game that we rated very highly.

Chariot, the game where players take the role of a princess guiding the chariot-coffin of her deceased father to his final resting place, is now out on Steam for PC. Since the game's release on PS4 and Xbox One back at the end of September, Chariot has reigned in over a million downloads.

Chariot is a couch co-op title that is perfectly comfortable being what it is. It doesn’t try to do anything overly new or groundbreaking for the platformer genre; it doesn’t introduce some new physics device. It is a simply a platformer that is meant to be played and enjoyed with a friend....

What time is it?  That time of the month where we find out what games are being made available for free to Xbox owners who also subscribe to Gold.  Whilst 360 owners are being given access to two solo games, it is the One aficionados who get the brand new 2 player co-op Chariot for free.

There are a few game releases this week for co-op fans, but one was technically out last week - though we missed it because of an odd Friday release in the US.
