The retail version of Code of Princess, the RPG/beat 'em up hybrid for the 3DS, was released back in October. Just recently, however, the game was put up into the Nintendo eShop for those of us who just like to download our games and jump right into them (or have a fear of boxes). The eShop allows 3DS owners to purchase the game for $39.99 with either their credit card or a Nintendo pre-paid card.
If there's one game that makes thi writer really wish for a 3DS, it's Code of Princess from Atlus. The spiritual successor to Guardian Heroes (much as Crimson Dragon is the successor to Panzer Dragoon), Code puts beat-em-up gameplay, a deep story, RPG mechanics, and tons of characters into a bowl and mixes them together. The results sure look tasty, as this new batch of screenshots proves.
If there's one thing the good people of Atlus know how to do, it's promote the heck out of a game. Case in point: they've just released a third trailer for Code Princess, the 3DS beat-em-up/RPG that's coming in October. Okay, Atlus has another specialty: beautiful premium packaging and bonuses for launch copies of many of their titles. Code of Princess gets the deluxe packaging treatment too, providing a nice incentive for fans to preorder.
Code of Princess, the co-op RPG and beat em up hybrid from Atlus, is only a month away. Soon you and your friends will be hacking, slashing, and punching your way to some quality entertainment either online via the Nintendo Network or locally via an AD-HOC connection.
Atlus sends word that the US version of Code of Princess will be hitting the Nintendo 3DS on October 9th, 2012. The side scrolling RPG / Beat-Em-Up looks really unique and stylish with characters designed by Kinu Nishimura, character designer from the Street Fighter series. The music of the game is composed by ACE, responsible for the Xenoblade RPG soundtrack.
While visiting the Atlus booth at E3 and ogling Persona 4 Arena, I noticed that there was a small 3DS demo station tucked into the back corner. Upon further inspection, I discovered that there was a playable build of the just-announced Code of Princess, a 2D side-scrolling brawler due out this Fall.
Atlus today announced a new game for the 3DS called Code of Princess. It's a beat em with RPG elements that reminds me a bit of Dungeon Fighter Online.
