Deathwish Enforcers Special Edition arrived on Steam this month, bringing some good, old fashioned arcade-style run-and-gun shooting to PC. While the game's reception has been quite good, developer Monster Bath Studios is already pumping out updates to fix the minor issues that players have discovered. It's great when a developer cares about their product!

Last year, Monster Bath Games and Limited Run unleashed a bloody, ballsy run-and-gun shooter called Deathwish Enforcers onto PlayStation and Steam. This year, Monster Bath is self-publishing the new-and-improved Deathwish Enforcers Special Edition on Steam. The new version adds an additional playable character and other refinements, and features 4-player local co-op.

Deathwish Enforcers is an amazing run-and-gun shooter/platformer in the style of Konami's classic arcade game, Sunset Riders. The unusual mix of grimy 1970s vibe, dark humor, gangsters, and zombies certainly make for a memorable shooter. 1970s action heroes took no guff. They walked into a room and blasted criminals without hesitation. Fast forwarding to the present, Monster Bath Games and Limited Run Games have combined that gritty '70s atmosphere with the colorful shooting of the arcade classic, Sunset Riders, to create Deathwish Enforcers. Up to four local players can join the police force to save the city from an evil army of criminals and zombies in this stylish run-and-gun shooter.

Indie games make the most sense as downloadable titles, small-scale products that are cheap and easy to buy on impulse. Still, it's fun to collect physical games too, especially games we really care about. Two such games (both with local co-op) are currently available to preorder from Limited Run: Deathwish Enforcers, the 4-player run-and-gun shooter, and Kung Fury: Street Rage - Ultimate Edition, the quirky 2-player beat 'em up. These physical editions are only available to preorder/buy for a limited time, so don't hesitate if you want them for your collection.

Deathwish Enforcers is an upcoming run-and-gun shooter from Monster Bath Games that looks incredible. The game's second trailer provides some new details, and we've also learned that Limited Run Games will open up physical preorders on March 31.

There has never really been another game that captured Sunset Riders' magical style... until now. Limited Run Games and Monster Bath Games have just announced Deathwish Enforcers, a game that combines the spirit of Konami's classic shooter with a satirical 1970s style. It will feature 4-player local co-op when it arrives on PlayStation and Switch sometime in the future.
