Tragedy once again rears its tear-soaked scythe towards all of you hardcore Dynasty Warriors fans out there. Koei Tecmo announced a delay for the newest installment in the series, Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, by a month. DW diehards will have to wait for the 24th of February in North America, and the 27th in Europe, to get their hyper-powered mitts around more peasant slaughtering.
Gah! I just woke up from the most awful dream. In it, Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires was being released, but I had no reason to go to my local brick and mortar games store to lay down my hard earned cash for a pre-order. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn was released a few weeks ago on the PlayStation 3. The two player co-op game slipped under our radar, which is pretty hard when it contains 40 foot tall fighting robots. We haven't officially reviewed a Dynasty Warriors Gundam Game since the second iteration, but the 4th game in the series continues the trend of huge massive anime robot space battles. Destroying mass quantities of robots with a laser sword and a co-op buddy by your side is my idea of a good Thursday evening.
We recently news regarding Nintendo's teamup with the famous Dynasty Warriors team, Tecmo Koei, and their epic creation, Hyrule Warriors, went up a few days ago. Not only will the game feature Link battling dozens upon dozens of enemies at once, something he isn't really known for, but it will also have a 2-player local co-op mode (not really known for that either)!
