Epic Games and Tripwire Interactive have announced that Killing Floor 2 is available for everyone for free until July 16th. The first person co-op horror game is a fast paced survival shooter pitting players against mutant enemies in a all out slaughter to survive. Originally released in 2016 on Steam, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 the game continues to add content along the way.
Sony is joining the fight against Corona, enticing gamers to stay home and play games instead of going out in the world risking spread of the disease. Wow, that just sounds bad. But welcome to 2020 folks.
Following the fire this week at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris France, Ubisoft have pledged 500,000 Euros to its rebuilding along with giving away Assassin's Creed Unity, a game set in Paris France during the 1700's.
With the recent release of Crackdown 3, Crackdown 2 is now Backwards Compatible and has dropped to the always reasonable price of nothing. Crackdown 2 was originally released for Xbox 360, so seeing Microsoft not only expand their current library on the Xbox One, but making sure anyone can play their games is great news for all Xbox users.
September will soon be upon us which means the best parts of the year are just around the corner; pumpkin spice everything, Halloween (which seems to be starting mid-August now), crispy and/or crunchy leaves on the ground, caramel corn as well as caramel apples and, best of all, my birthday. September also brings a new batch of free games to celebrate with Xbox’s Games With Gold, though sadly, only one co-op title in the bunch: Battlefield 3.
Not a lot of co-op offerings on the PS front this month, unfortunately. However, the one game you can play with a friend is quite a doozy, if you still have your Playstation 3 available. Tokyo Jungle lets you and a local buddy team up in the Survival Mode to forage, hunt, and, yes, even breed in order to survive.
To celebrate E3 and just to be all around "nice guys," publisher 505 Games is giving away 5 million copies of PayDay 2 on Steam. Yes, it's limited. But 5 million? There's a good chance to snag the four player co-op shooter that we reviewed back in 2013 and gave a solid 4.5 out of 5 to.
The month of June is a special time; swimming, summer camp, cookouts, and killing, all of these are are better with friends. However, only one of the aforementioned joys is free with PlayStation Plus this month. Killing Floor 2 and Life Is Strange lead the way, with the latter being a single player melodrama, but the former a deadly co-op delight.
Ubisoft is continuing their 30th anniversary celebrations this month by giving everyone Rayman Origins for free! All you have to do is launch the Uplay application on your PC, click over to the "Ubi 30" tab, and claim it.
EA is giving away some free games this weekend to celebrate PlayStation's 20th anniversary. From now until 6PM Pacific on Sunday, December 7th you can grab a handful of games for free from Electronic Arts on the PlayStation Store.
Today is a day for apologies apparently. Ubisoft have issued a formal apology for the state of Assassin's Creed Unity at launch - one in which an upcoming patch is needed to fix over 300 bugs. Obviously people are upset and wonder how a AAA title can be released in such an unfinished state. It looks like Ubisoft wants to try to make amends by offering some free goodies.
April's Instant Game Collection for PlayStation Plus has been revealed and we can hardly complain about its offerings. Not only are a bunch of really sweet PS3 titles like Batman: Arkham City and Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, and PS Vita titles such as Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD on this list, but a PS4 game that hasn't even released yet: Mercenary Kings.
