The folks at Ubisoft are bringing back everybody's favorite stealth operative: Sam Fisher. Tomorrow, a big update will drop for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, officially kicking off their Year 2 content, that will add a special PvE mission for you and your Ghost squad to tackle. While the mission will be available in the game for the foreseeable future, there are special rewards you can only earn if you complete it within the next month.

Season Three for Ubisoft's Rainbow 6 Siege kicks off next month with Operation Chimera and the limited-time co-op event, Outbreak. Before all of that happens, though, you'll have a chance to hop into the game for free and see what's what if you're so inclined.

Looking for something to play this weekend to tide you over? Then Ubisoft would like to kindly invite you to enjoy Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands for free! Starting today and going until 11:59 PM PDT on Monday, October 16, you can form a squad of ghosts with up to four friends and take on the Santa Blanca drug cartel. Also, you'll probably crash a helicopter or two... it happens.

While the co-op offerings may be limited to just bot matches, you can check out Overwatch for yourself this weekend if you're looking for something to do with friends. Starting now and running until 11:59 pm PDT Monday, September 25, download the title on PC, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4, and enjoy the team-based shooter that took 2016 by storm.

If you've got an Xbox Live Gold subscription and an Xbox One, then you've got a date with the ultimate evil this weekend. Until 11:59 PM EDT Monday, July 31, you can head over to the Xbox Store or select the "Gold Member" area from the Xbox One dashboard and download Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition for free.

As a lover of co-op gaming I reckon that most of you will already have a Xbox Live Gold account to allow you to play online, but if you don't, this weekend you will still have free access online.  This means that you can play any of your games online, plus you can try out Minecraft: Xbox One Edition until 21st May.

Tripwire's FPS horror shooter, Killing Floor 2, has gotten its second round of free content this week with "The Descent" DLC. Not only are there new maps, new guns, and a new gameplay mode, but you can enjoy that stuff even if you don't own the game! Until 1:00 PM EST Monday, March 27, 2017, you can play Killing Floor 2 for free on Steam, or you can enjoy it until March 28 for free on the PlayStation 4.

Most Co-Optimus readers who also own an Xbox One will likely have a Live Gold membership as this is the only way to allow them to play online co-op.  However, if you are on the fence, from 16-19th February Gold is open to all, as is access to Rocket League.

Just in time for the latest patch that adds DirectX12, you can check out Tom Clancy's The Division for free on the PC starting now and running until 1:00 pm Eastern on Sunday, December 18. If you dig it and decide to buy the full thing, then it's also on sale for 50% off during that time and, best of all, your character progress will carry over into the full version.

If you've been curious to check out Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and see what all those literal space marines get up to, then you're in luck! Provided you own a PlayStation 4, that is. Starting tomorrow, December 15, at 1:00 pm Eastern and going until Tuesday, December 20, at 1:00 pm Eastern, you can play through a small bit of each of the game's main modes.

If you're still playing Rainbow 6 Siege, then we've got some good news for you. The next round of DLC, "Operation Skull Rain," arrives for all platforms next Tuesday, August 2. It will feature two new operators for you to use in any mode, which hopefully means you'll be checking them out in co-op.
