A long time ago a music games were all the rage. Battles were fought on consoles for the ultimate "hero" game with the likes of Guitar Hero, Rock Band, DJ Hero and many others. But the bubble burst and those games were found few and far between. Now one of the original studios is back, with Harmonix bringing us a brand new game that teaches players about mixing together music. It's called FUSER.

Fuse marks Insomniac Game's first foray into multiplatform gaming. The squad-based, third-person shooter is built for cooperative play. The Fuse "launch" trailer is now live. The game doesn't come out for like a week and a half so that's... weird. Why do I have the feeling there's going to be another trailer? The video offers a sliver of back story and features the prerequisite cool weapon footage and an abundance of explosions, faceless bad guys, and exploding faceless bad guys. I know, I know, it's still not Overstrike, but it looks like it has potential to be a pretty decent squad-based shooter.

The only new cooperative experience that will sate our need for digitized human companionship is a demo for Fuse, Insomniac's third person, class-based, super soldier shooter.
The latest trailer for Insomniac's cooperative shooter, Fuse, allows us to see things from the Raven leaders' point of view. They're simple people, really.-simple people running a technologically advanced paramilitary organization bent on global domination. The leaders of this force are trying to capture the Fuse substance to reshape the world. Of course, their vision of this new world is one of profiteering, toppled governments, terror, and supplication.
There be much talk of a new generation coming, of super consoles that will track the thoughts of your brain and plug you directly into the Matrix, but before that, we have 2013 to contend with. One current generation game that hopes to take your fancy is Fuse, a 4 player co-op shooter that now has the official release date of May 28th 2013.
The music genre may not be what it once was (it's deader than disco), but there are a few new games on the horizon. BandFuse: Rock Legends is one such brave title. Taking a cue from Rocksmith, BandFuse will allow gamers to play with a real guitar, bass, or USB microphone. Featuring the in-game tutelage of Slash, Zakk Wylde, and Bootsy Collins, players will learn how to play a wide variety of songs.
