Play As Them, All Of Them.

In Case You Missed It - Watch Dogs: Legion Gamescom Trailer

Ubisoft’s upcoming Watch Dogs: Legion released a new trailer during this year’s Gamescom in which they expanded upon their “play as anyone” mechanic. The video (available below) explains how the characters throughout the world will change the gameplay as different people will have different abilities or skills, meaning the player will be able to pick recruits that compliment their playstyle. Furthermore, certain recruitable people may have inhibitors, meaning players may also need to be wary of the setbacks their recruits carry.

The Coalition further evolves the mode they created over 10 years ago

Gears 5 Horde Focuses on the Heroes You Play

A few days ago, The Coalition lifted up the curtain on the new Horde mode for the forthcoming Gears 5. While many of the same systems from Gears of War 4 are returning (i.e., using a Fabricator to build fortifications/guns, gathering energy to power the Fabricator, equipping cards on your character), there are a few tweaks, too.

Adds the new "horde" mode

State of Decay 2's Daybreak DLC Arrives September 12

The last time we heard from Undead Labs about State of Decay 2, they were releasing some 4th of July themed weapons and zombies into the game. At the same time, they provided a rough outline of what was next for the zombie-survival game; specifically, DLC that would add a new co-op mode to the game. On Tuesday, they revealed that "Daybreak" will be arriving September 12 and will let four players team up to fight off waves of zombies.

For Honor Marching Fire DLC Will Include A Co-Op Arcade Mode

During this year's E3, Ubisoft revealed the next big content update for their action fighting game, For Honor. At the time, the biggest reveal was a new PvP mode (Breach) and a new playable faction, the Chinese. They teased a new PvE mode, but didn't state what that might be. Yesterday, at Gamescom, they finally pulled back the curtain on that mode: 2 player Arcade co-op.

Young Souls Looks Fantastic in Motion

We heard there was a new brawler/RPG co-op game in the works called Young Souls, but outside of a vague description and a few concept shots, we didn't know too much about what to expect. While we're still a little shy on all the details, developers The Arcade Crew and 1P2P Studios dropped an official announcement trailer recently that has some interesting tidbits in it.

X-Morph: Defense Is Headed to the Switch Sans Co-Op Campaign

EXOR Studios' tower-defense/top-down shooter hybrid, X-Morph: Defense, is headed to the Nintendo Switch sometime in the next few months. That's the good news. The bad news is it appears that this version will be losing out on some of the co-op features that are present on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. Specifically, the two player couch co-op campaign.
