My still reigning co-op favorite shooter Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has come under fire this holiday weekend due to an unexpected - and unpleasant - surprise. It turns out that Vegas 2 and other titles featured on Xbox Live's Games on Demand service may or may not be compatible with their disc-based brothers. The worst part? There's no way to tell without buying and trying...and if your gamble doesn't pay off, Microsoft still will not give you a refund nor credit.
Do you like money? Do you like gold? What about infinite amounts of both? You do! Good - then I have a glitch in Fable 3 just for you. Performing the glitch is simple and requires only another controller to start a local co-op session. After that it won't be long before you have 999,999,999 in gold - that's the max - anymore than that and your treasury explodes.
We got our copy of DJ Hero 2 into Co-Optimus HQ today - eager to checkout the game we fired it up - and after the first song we were quickly greeted with a lockup. A fluke perhaps. But after several more attempts at the game's career mode the lockups were consistently occurring between songs in a mix - I feared the worst - my Xbox 360 was going.
Excited to try the new Toy Box DLC for Crackdown 2, I hurried home and fired up my copy. Soon I was greeted with a giant black screen and nothing. Crap, it's true. I had noticed earlier in the night MTV Multiplayer Blog's Russ Frushtick was having problems and wondered if anyone else was. Turns out, lots of people are. The official Xbox forums has plenty of angry posters with the same issue.
Now here's an odd one for you. There's a glitch in the full and demo version of Modern Warfare 2, though to be fair, the glitch is really with SNK's Xbox Live Arcade titles - where you get free access to the full version of trial titles from SNK that are installed on your hard drive. This includes all of SNK's games, including the co-op enabled titles like Metal Slug 3 and Metal Slug XX.
There's a crazy glitch in the Crackdown 2 demo that will allow you to play as long as you want without hitting that pesky 30 minute time limit. Even better - the glitch will work for a co-op game.
