Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age and Homefront: The Revolution Switch Developers

Crytek announced a brand new title this year at E3, being Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age, a four-player co-op action shooter where you defend the 1800's against hordes of evil, and showed off Homefront: Revolution, a four-player open world shooter sequel to the middling Homefront. With two co-op heavy games in development over there, it must be nothing but smiles all around, right?

Tactical Survival Game The Red Solstice Enters Alpha

Mars. That red planet that floats around with stone faces in the sand, secret alien cities beneath the surface, and a curious little rover scooping up bits of soil. Also, Ironward Game's upcoming tactical survival game takes place there! The studio is currently hard at work on The Red Solstice, a co-op game that supports up to eight players who must work together in order to survive the harsh Martian climate.

System Shock 2 Releases on GOG

It's classic gaming time! GOG.com has just released System Shock 2, the spiritual predecessor to BioShock and one of the first games that made everybody stand up and nod approvingly at Ken Levine. Set in a dark cyberpunk world, System Shock 2 combines first person shooting and survivor horror elements with an intricate character customization system, giving players an enormous amount of freedom to tinker with skills like hacking, psionic powers, and good old fashion gun shooting.

Resident Evil 5 to have True Co-Op Play

Every once and a while we get a nice surprise announcement.  Today that comes from this GamesRadar preview of Resident Evil 5.  So what's the surprise?  How about the fact that a franchise that has been traditionally single player and about lone survival will add full featured cooperative play!  Yup - drop-in/drop-out support, full integration of the 2nd character into the story, and all playable online with the AI taking over if your buddy runs away from the game in terror.
