If modern games has taught us one thing, it is that during the inevitable zombie apocalypse we have a better chance of survival if we stick together as a co-op foursome.  Left 4 Dead had the right idea, as does How to Survive 2, now coming to consoles in February.

How To Survive 2 entered Early Access last October, and last Thursday, the game finally saw full release. Now you and up to four of your friends, either locally or online, can team up to take on missions, build a camp, and survive the zombie pandemic.

I've always thought that the one thing missing from our regular Monday night streams was the ability for our audience to impact the game we're playing. EKO Software and 505 Games have been thinking the same thing as they've added Twitch interaction to How to Survive 2.

Last night's co-op stream we took a look at How to Survive 2, a game that just hit early access last week on Steam. The new game supports four player online co-op, but also 16 player persistent communities where folks can work together towards surviving. 

At New York Comic Con last week I went hands on with several 505 Games published titles. I rather enjoyed upcoming indie title Indivisible, which mixes side scrolling fighting with a JRPG style game. I also really dug checking out Adr1ft on the Oculus Rift, a truly unique experience for sure. But it was How to Survive 2 I was there to see for Co-Optimus; the upcoming sequel boasting 16 player server support and four player co-op.

Looks like How to Survive taught us a lesson. Namely, how to survive. We did such a good job surviving, now we're off to New Orleans to do it again. How to Survive 2 was recently announced as a Steam Early Access release for early October, and so far we like what we hear. Because there's four player co-op, you see.
