Being an East coaster and an hour outside of NYC, every year I feel obligated to hit up New York Comic-Con despite hitting most of the previous conventions in the year. I'm not what they'd call a comic book nerd by any means, but I do appreciate the art form quite a bit and love looking at all the wares the show has to offer - especially the statues. NYCC has always been a great hub for videogames too, so off I went to the city.
Day 1 of E3 has already come and gone. It was a long one with things kicking off bright and early with Microsoft Press Conference and ending a bit late with Sony's. By my watch there was a solid 12 hours of gaming PR going strong today and the entire Co-Opticrew (Nick and Mike pictured with Scott Benton of In Game Chat above) were there to cover with our man Locke Vincent behind the camera.
E3 has come and gone but the Co-Optimus coverage hasn't stopped. You can expect a steady stream of co-op previews, pictures and news from the show over the next few days. Here's some (mostly) booth babe free pictures of the show floor for your enjoyment.
We're working through our coverage of games from Day 2 of E3 as we head into Day 3. We're loaded with a dozen or so appointments today of some great co-op titles from publishers like Bethesda, Sega and others. While you wait for more hands on previews from the Co-Opticrew enjoy some pictures from around the show.
Microsoft's E3 2011 Press Conference seemed to have its ups and downs. While titles like Mass Effect 3, Modern Warfare 4, and Gears of War 3 (ICE-T and Cliffy B co-op!) shined, other titles didn't look so hot - like Star Wars Kinect. Some of the most interesting things to come out of their show though were new technology demos for their system - Bing Search, Avatar Scanning with Kinect, 3D Object Scanning and numerous other little tweaks and features for their console.
Apologies readers of Co-Optimus for not getting this and other various articles of E3 up sooner. It seems that cataclysmic events of epic proportions all decided to happen in a seven day timespan - combined with the lack of stable or ANY internet - and I'm way behind on my duties for Co-Optimus.
The Official Xbox Magazine UK has provided recipes to some game-themed mixed drinks (yes, alcoholic; cover your ears, kids). For the sake of our drinkers, hopefully they taste as good as they are pretty.
In case you haven't heard, Too Human comes out in just 3 short weeks. We've been covering the game since April, and I think our anticipation couldn't be much higher. Even though the demo deprived us of co-op, it wet our appetites enough to know we'll be plugging hours upon hours into this game.
