Back in the 1980s and 1990s, Irem was a prolific Japanese game developer that produced numerous arcade and console hits. ININ and Strictly Limited Games have already announced Irem Collection Volume 1, a collection of single-player shoot 'em ups. Irem Collection Volume 2, however, features four games, all of which feature 2-player local co-op! The four games are GunForce (Arcade), GunForce (SNES), GunForce II (arcade), and Air Duel (arcade).

One of the coolest things about iiRcade, the home arcade cabinet/console, is that it lets gamers purchase classic arcade games that have never gotten home releases before. We've seen it before with the stellar Warrior Blade: Rastan Saga Episode III and the less-amazing-but-still-charming Ninja Clowns, and we're about to see it again with Ninja Baseball Bat Man. Originally released by Irem in 1993, Ninja Baseball Bat Man is one of the rarest arcade games in the world, and it's coming soon to iiRcade.

Evercade is an interesting retro and indie-focused platform that started started as a cartridge-based handheld. Manufacturer Blaze Entertainment then released the Evercade VS, an HD console for televisions, which plays the same cartridge-based games - some in co-op. Now, Blaze has announced two exciting new products: the Irem Arcade Collection 1 for Evercade, which will include the co-op classics In The Hunt and Lightning Swords, as well as a premium portable console, the Evercade EXP.

Like any AAA title these days, Ubisoft's The Crew will offer a season pass which will give players a discount on all of the planned DLC. The co-op driving game is going to offer quite a bit of content not just in a handful of packs, but for months at a time.

Ubisoft has recently revealed the PC system requirements for their next installment in the Assassin's Creed series, Assassin's Creed Unity. They're pretty killer. Get it? No, but for serious, they're high.

So you're excited about the relatively recently announced 4-player co-op mode of upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition. You're more than ready to burn some demons and stab some trolls, but a question has been haunting you: will your PC be able to run the game? Well, wonder no more. All has been revealed.

Perhaps if you lived in Japan in 1995 you got to play The Firemen 2: Pete & Danny on the original PlayStation. For those of us in North America, our first chance of getting our hands on the fire hose came in late January, as The Firemen 2 saw it's North American release on PSN. 

The Far Cry series has always pushed computers to their brink, generating some truly impressive visuals that rival even Crysis back in the day.  Ubisoft have revealed the system requirements for Far Cry 3, including the minimum, recommended and the OMG LOOK WHAT MY COMPUTER DOES setting.

The team at Red 5 have announced that Firefall's beta has reached 500,000 users.  The epic milestone for the free to play shooter/MMO is definitely impressive - and despite the long wait for the game since it was announced, - all of the refinement should make it a solid co-op experience.  Red 5 is said to be making "significant" adjustments to several of the core mechanics based feedback from the community during the beta.

At E3, our own Andrew "cubninja" Gaskill had a chance to share some information about the upcoming PC version of Dark Souls (the "Prepare to Die" edition). The PC edition will launch with new areas, enemies, bosses, NPCs, and equipment as well as a new online matchmaking system. The real question is, however, is your gaming PC up to the challenge?
