Steam players can team up to help Adol on his latest action RPG adventure.

Ys X: Nordics Arrives on Multiple Platforms, and the Steam Version features Co-op

Falcom's Ys series is a venerable line of action RPGs. Starting in the days of the NES and Turbografx, Ys continues today with the tenth mainline game, Ys X: Nordics. The new game sees Adol, the series protagonist, teaming up with a lady pirate named Karja to battle an evil army of immortal monsters. Ys X is out now on PlayStation, Switch, and Steam. Most excitingly for us, the Steam version supports 2-player local co-op!

The follow-up to Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a Suikoden-style JRPG, and it's almost here.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes - Beyond Co-op Preview

While we do our best around here to play nothing but cooperative games, from time to time, a non-co-op title slips in. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes from developer Rabbit & Bear Studios and publisher 505 Games is a JRPG that's too exciting to overlook. It was directed and produced by Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of Suikoden series, who sadly died in February. The game promises to be a spiritual successor to Murayama's beloved series.

WKC2 is already out in PAL, but what about the U.S?

White Knight Chronicles 2 Will Release September in the U.S.

White Knight Chronicles 2 released in the PAL region last month, but JRPG enthusiasts state-side are still without their fix for huge medieval gundams. Never fear, JRPG'ers - White Knight Chronicles 2 is slotted for a September U.S. release on the PS3. The game is a direct sequel to the first title, and will be the conclusion to the storyline. Developer LEVEL-5 has taken player feedback on the first game very seriously, and as such reports dramatic improvements to the battle system which include more strategic combat and a faster Action Gauge. Online co-op has also been expanded to up to 6 players instead of 4.
