Microsoft is offering up some big discounts on a slew of co-op titles for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. From now until May 9, you can snag Halo 5: Guardians for just $44.99, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for $27.99, and Ryse: Son of Rome for $17.99. If you're an Xbox Gold Member, you'll get an additional 10% off that price.
This news comes as a bit of a surprise. Apparently, Microsoft has decided to cancel the forthcoming action-RPG Fable Legends. In a news post early this morning, Hanno Lamke, the General Manager at Microsoft Studios Europe, stated "after much consideration we have decided to cease development on Fable Legends." It then gets a bit grim for the employees at Lionhead Studios, and altogether bad for developer Press Play.
Don't worry folks, Hoebear is on the way! Previously an Xbox One exclusive, the Danish-made co-op puzzle platformer Kalimba is finally heading to PC on April 22. There's also a few new pieces of DLC scheduled to hit, one of which includes ten new co-op levels!
Danish developer Press Play, who you might remember from the creative casual game Max & The Magic Marker and its follow-up Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, has just pushed out a brand new game that's got a nice little local co-op mode. Kalimba, which you shouldn't confuse with the musical instrument, is a puzzle platformer that... you know what? It's got a pink bear called Hoebear. Instabuy, right?
