GameInformer has a soft spot for Indiana Jones, apparently. Well, really, though - who doesn't? The communist-slugging professor with a knack for nearly getting killed on motorcycles possesses a charm that seldom fiction heroes have anymore.
Lego Indiana Jones 2 was released last week, to the delight of plastic block fans everywhere. The game is an excellent sequel, adding in levels based on The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as well as a co-op creation mode. All this, plus the original game's levels, too! But one thing was missing, and it's a feature we dearly love: online co-op. Couch co-op is great, but sometimes, your real life partners aren't around to bust some Nazis. According to the LucasArts Twitter feed, this problem will be fixed soon.
Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure continues is on its way to a fall release this year. Soon you'll be creating levels in co-op with your friends, while whipping snakes and tossing out one liners. We've got a fresh batch of screenshots from the game, complete with a LEGO stubble beard to prove your in game manliness.
Joystiq reported Thursday that in answer to the popularity of LittleBigPlanet's user-created levels that could be constructed in co-op, a similar mode will be featured in LEGO Indiana Jones: The Adventure Continues.
You may recall a story which we ran earlier this year, in which we predicted a Lego game based on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Well, call us Nostradamus, because we are getting exactly that later this year, and it's coming to pretty much every system.

Console bundles are not hard to come by. Classic consoles almost always had a decent game packaged with them, and with three hot competitors, manufacturers are constantly trying to find ways to lure consumers into spending hard-earned cash on their product.
Fans of co-op are likely fans of Traveller's Tales LEGO series of games. The titles, based on famous series like Batman, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones, feature two player co-op. LEGO games are, unsurprisingly, quite kid and spouse friendly, but at the same time enjoyable by your more typical gamer.
The caped crusader and boy wonder join forces to battle the evil blocky villains of Gotham City. Grab two controllers, a coke and get ready to do battle. Does LEGO Batman hold up as well as it's predecessors like LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars? Read our review to find out.
Earlier this week, you got a taste for classic co-op in Broodax's column, featuring ToeJam and Earl. I felt it would be a good idea then, to discuss co-op games I played this week in my column. As it turns out, I played one classic co-op game, one that will be a classic, and one that isn't a classic at all, but was a decent way to spend an hour or two. I'll leave it you to decide which was which from this list: Diablo II, Lego Indiana Jones, and Ben 10.
