Not too long ago, keen observers noticed an interesting bullet point on the official Luigi's Mansion 3 website just prior to its release. Specifically, that "paid DLC will come to Luigi's Mansion 3 in the future, adding new content to the ScareScraper and ScreamPark multiplayer modes." However, no other information was offered. Earlier this week, Nintendo finally revealed what that content will entail, and how much it will cost.
If you have been waiting for Luigi’s Mansion 3 October 31st, 2019 release date to come around, you may, like the rest of us, have been expecting Nintendo to announce any and all updates they could. However, Nintendo instead decided to keep in line with the game’s themes and be as quiet as a ghost as they placed a subtle announcement that there will be paid DLC that will add “new content” for the ScareScraper and ScreamPark modes after launch. This announcement was placed on their website without any word via an official press release, Nintendo Direct, or even so much as a text message - talk about being “ghosted”.
Last year, Nintendo revealed that Luigi would once again be busting (vacuuming?) some ghosts in Luigi's Mansion 3. At the time, though, all that was revealed was the game's existence and that it would be out sometime in 2019. During their E3 Nintendo Direct this week, they finally showed off more of the title and announced some exciting ways to play with friends: campaign co-op and "ScareScraper Mode."
Leaked in a few ads ahead of schedule, Nintendo has finally announced the new Luigi-themed 3DS bundle that will round out the Year of Luigi celebration. The bundle hits North America on November 28 for $179 and includes a Cobalt Blue 3DS system with a pre-installed copy Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
Nintendo has recently altered their latest Wii U bundle to accommodate both newbies to the system and lovers of the brand themselves. New Super Mario Bros. U will now be included in place of the original title, Nintendo Land.
