In an announcement video put out earlier today, Capcom slapped a fancy ol' release date (August 29th) on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Resident Evil: Revelations. Considering the game's 3DS origins, it looks pretty fantastic, but we're not here just to slack our jaws at higher resolutions.
While we've known since March that Resident Evil: Revelations would be getting a new release on PS4 and Xbox One, today we now have a release window and details for the 1080p update of the game. The new version will be releasing in Japan on August 31st with US and Europe releases to follow in the fall.
Okay, sure, so maybe Resident Evil: Revelations is over five years old now. And sure, maybe it was originally made for the 3DS. Still, it's a Resident Evil game that's coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and dagnabbit, that's good enough for me.
How many Resident Evil games have there been? If you take into account the main cannon, plus all the offshoots and then the remakes - too many to really care about. One co-op version of the game was Resident Evil: Revelations and its being relaunched again; this time for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Until Monday, November 14, you can pick up Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Deluxe Edition for just $12 on the Xbox One, provided you have an Xbox Live Gold account. The title is part of this week's "Deals With Gold" program, which also includes a few solid single-player titles like DmC Devil May Cray: Definitive Edition for just $9.90.
This week's CORA features less subscriptions and more co-op. Always more co-op.
Capcom will update its co-op survival horror game Resident Evil: Revelations 2 with new online multiplayer options for Raid mode later this month, the publisher announced today.
It's a good week to go off and have some co-op fun in real life. Not much is hitting the store shelves or download scene as far as cooperative gameplay is concerned, but there are a few things to get you by. There's also a nice selection of single player games launching this week if that's your thing. I won't judge.
I don't know about you, but I feel that the new episodic release schedule of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is both a blessing and a curse. The anticipation for the game mounts, but we just want to play it. Always the tease, Capcom have released a teaser trailer for Episode 3 that heightens the intrigue.
Capcom might've pulled a fast one on the PC community by stating that Resident Evil Revelations 2 wouldn't contain any local co-op mode at the last minute. However, the modding community says otherwise. of local co-op are now able to play the game locally using a mod developed by a fan.
We have a few co-op games coming out this week. There's an indie twin-stick shooter, an indie rogue-like, an installment of one of Capcom's fading franchises, and another zombie shooting game.
