I’m probably one of the few gamers out there that still defend the Sonic the Hedgehog brand to this day, so I was excited to see if both Sega and Nintendo could make this title the next stage for the franchise. Over the last few months, Sonic Lost World has been compared with the Super Mario Galaxy titles over and over again, in that Sonic travels between various planetoids to reach the end goal. But all I was curious to see was: does the game stay true to Sonic as a character?
Revealed just last week from SEGA, Sonic Lost World will receive its own special edition, featuring a new level when you pre-order the game on Wii U.
A new Sonic game is on the horizon, and with it comes a great opportunity for cooperative play. Sonic: Lost World is slated for release on the 3DS and the WIi U on an undetermined date. In a recent interview with Nintendo World Report, Producer Takashi iizuka confirmed that the games will contain different multiplayer modes between the two platforms.
Since Sonic 4: Episode 2 was released, fans we looking for a more polished, but modern take on the Sonic the Hedgehog series. SEGA moved closer to that vision with titles such as Sonic Generations and Sonic Colors, but fans believed that Sonic's potential could really shine in a true, next gen game. Announced by proudly by SEGA in their continual team-up with Nintendo, a brand new Sonic the Hedgehog game, Sonic Lost World, with a whole new look and a literal twist to the classic Sonic landscapes might finally give die-hard fans their wish!
