Torchlight, South Park, and Fire Pro Wrestling

XBLA "Be a Hero" Bundle Now Available

There seems to be a trend in bundling games together for a limited time on the XBLA. One of the latest bundles to come out of the XBLA is the "Be a Hero" bundle. It includes Torchlight, South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play!, and Fire Pro Wrestling. All three games can be yours for the low price of 1200 MSP. If you were to buy these games individually, the cost would come to 2800 MSP.

A major update may fix some of the issues we had with South Park: Tenorman's Revenge

Seriously you Guys - South Park: Tenorman's Revenge Gets a Major Update

It is always sad when a potentially good co-op game arrives and turns out to be less so. This was the case with South Park: Tenorman's Revenge.  The 4 player co-op title could have been a great platformer, but poor controls and awkward level design made it a low 2 out of 5.  Rather than rest on their laurels, developers Other Ocean Interactive have come back with a major update that may just save the game.

South Park: Tenorman's Revenge Hits the XBLA This Friday

A new South Park game will be unleashed on the masses this week. South Park: Tenorman's Revenge features the familiar four versus an army of robot gingers in a side-scrolling platformer. The last South Park XBLA exclusive, Let's Go Tower Defense Play!, was a surprisingly good co-op game. Tenorman's Revenge is being developed by a different studio, but we're still hoping for a solid title. Judging by the video below, the gameplay looks simple and fun. That's all I really need in a platformer, so long as it's executed well.

South Park: Tenorman's Revenge Coming Exclusively to XBLA in 2012

Microsoft’s contract with South Park Digital Studios calls for two Xbox Live Arcade-exclusive South Park titles. The first, 2009’s Let’s Go Tower Defense Play! is an absolutely fantastic tower defense game with 4-player co-op. Just over two years later, we’ll finally get a sequel of sorts: South Park: Tenorman’s Revenge. The developer this time is Other Ocean Interactive, makers of the unfortunately buggy Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection as well as the NES-talgic platformer, Dark Void Zero.

South Park: Let's Go Tower Defense Play! Co-Op Review

Ginger kids, old people, underpants gnomes and other general threats are invading South Park Colorado. It's up to Kenny, Stan, Kyle, Cartman and other South Park kids to keep the evil at bay with their snowballs, special abilities, and a variety of defensive towers. We gave this game a co-op whirl, curious to see if South Park: Let's Go Tower Defense Play! is worth an 800 purchase, or if it's best left in the snow.
