Firefly Studios continues to pump out packs of content for Stronghold Crusader 2 on PC. Each one themed as a head to head match-up between characters. We last saw (and gave away) The Emperor and The Hermit, but this time around we're looking at The Templar and the Duke. We'd love to see a co-op themed one next!
We had checked out Stronghold Crusader 2 and its two player co-op mode back in September. Impressive and detailed visuals combined with addictive gameplay made it one of our favorite co-op RTS games to come along for some time. Developer FireFly Studios has continued support for the game with several free and premium updates adding content, tweaks, and new modes of play.
Stronghold Crusader 2, we hardly knew ye. When we first met, you were a timid lad. Your walls were weak, your multiplayer options were scant, and your maps were trendy and foreign. Nevertheless, we found you likable and good for a round of 2 player co-op trebuchet simulation. Something was lacking, though, perhaps the lack of map variety. No more can we bellow our cries of change, for come December 9th our wishes shall be fulfilled! This must truly be the winter of our contentment, the season our wall-based dreams come true. Oh happy, happy day.
Stronghold Crusader 2 doesn't need your approval. You think you can just walk on in here and act like you don't care that it's the sequel to its beloved 2002 ancestor, or that it includes an ingenious 2 player co-op mode? No way. You better get out of here before Stronghold Crusader 2 loses its patience. You...
What kid doesn't remember growing up with LEGOs and creating the perfect castle with every brick in his or her box, then swiftly laying waste to the entire thing in a siege with some other action figures? Come on, I can't be the only one. Stronghold Crusader 2 lets you relive those youthful days of creation and destruction while mixing in s...
Last night Mike and I took to Stronghold Crusader 2 to check out the game's co-op mode. The latest game in the series is out today on Steam and it features lots of gameplay with a full tutorial campaign and almost twenty missions in the main campaign too. Each missions pits you against one more multiple AI enemies with crazy personalities and play styles to match.
It's a jam packed week this week of games to play, with a title for just about everyone.
Being a medieval Duke comes with a set of unique challenges. When you're not fighting off religious fanatics or the plague, you've got to make sure your peasants can strike a balance between being productive, and also too blindingly inebriated to rebel. Stronghold Crusader 2's newest AI opponent, the Wolf, cuts all that out by running his kingdom through brain-paralyzing terror.
Real time strategy game Stronghold Crusader 2 was set to release in just under two weeks, but thanks to a lengthy and exhaustive closed beta, the team is going to delay the game three weeks out to add enhancements and fixes.
Looks like preorders for medieval seige-em-up Stronghold Crusader 2 are now available for purchase on Steam! In celebration of this opening, developer Firefly Studios recently released an all new trailer featuring the return of series antagonist, The Wolf.
Last year I fondly remember seeing the Stronghold Crusader 2 airstream trailer across the street from E3. "Huh, that's a smart way to promote your game," I thought. Away from the hustle and chaos that is the LA Convention Center. As I sat with the folks from Firefly Studios and got a demo of the latest build of the game inside the same trailer I instantly became intrigued once again, not by the promotion but by the game itself.
