The anticipation leading up to Monday Night Combat’s August 11th release is getting to be too much. Another character has been revealed after the probably unstable Sniper's unmasking, and she’s likely to put the rest of them to sleep. She’s silent, deadly, quick, and a surgeon with her work - the Assassin joins the ranks of quirky characters in the Monday Night Combat lineup. Better get to her before she gets to you or it's gonna be messy.
It looks like the power of the Summer of Arcade promo will be holding Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light hostage for a while. Once Lara Croft launches for the Summer of Arcade on the XBLA, the title will not be seen on the PSN or Steam for at least four weeks.

A week ago, Destination Arcade sounded phenomenal. The system is an updated Xbox LIVE Arcade browser directly integrated to the Xbox dashboard that really cleans up the way we look for arcade games. When we saw Monday Night Combat at Pax East we were definitely impressed. Monday Night Combat is a downloadable title featuring a co-op mode that makes our mouths water. Complete with quirky characters and a third person perspective on the gameplay mechanics of Smash TV, Monday Night Combat is a surefire win with the co-op "Blitz" mode.
We try not to give our hopes up based on a rumor, but it would appear the new Castlevania: Harmony of Despair will feature full campaign co-op. This is great news for Castlevania fans, and will be the next up on the list of XBLA's Summer of Arcade lineup.
