No sooner did we publish our co-op review of Super Bomberman R than Konami published an update to every version of the game that adds a host of unlockable characters for co-op and battle modes. The biggest name characters are Snake and Raiden from Metal Gear Solid, but as co-op fans we’re most excited for playable characters from Konami’s traditionally cooperative Contra and Goemon franchises.

Super Bomberman R will celebrated one year on the Nintendo Switch a couple weeks ago, and today, Konami announced that the title will be making its way to the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 this summer. Each platform will be getting their own unique hero (Ratchet for PS4, the P-Body bot from Portal 2 for PC, and Master Chief for Xbox One), so you can drop bombs as your favorite character from another game.
The latest entry in the Bomberman series, Super Bomberman R, has met with a lot of mixed reviews, but that's not stopping Konami from putting out more content for it. The latest updates adds a few new characters to the roster and they're going for a song as far the in-game currency is concerned.
