Soon, Windows 8 and Windows Phones won't be the only devices to carry Halo: Spartan Assault. 343 Industries finally revealed the release date for the game, coming to Xbox One just before Christmas.
You may remember that this last year at PAX East, I went hands-on with a neat little game called Eon Altar. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, the highly-anticipated sequel to Sonic 4, has a release date at last. And when I say that, I don’t mean just the XBLA and PSN versions have release dates. The PC and Windows Phone ports have them too! Even better news is that owners of both episodes will receive an extra-special bonus that harkens back to the days of Sonic & Knuckles. Part of its back to basics approach included ditching longtime partner Miles 'Tails' Prower, the flying fox with a voice that makes you just want to smack him. And of course, this guaranteed that Episode I was a single-player affair. But SEGA has recently released a teaser trailer for Sonic 4: Episode II that promises the return of Tails, along with classic nemesis Metal Sonic. Dare we hope that Tails' presence means that Sonic 2-style co-op will return as well?

AT&T is running a very co-op friendly deal on their Windows Phone 7 devices, something we looked at briefly when it was announced thanks to its Xbox Live integration. We've been hearing good things about its marketplace, with an ever growing catelog of games, it won't be long now till we start seeing some cooperative titles to play.
While we wait to see Live Anywhere come to fruition, Microsoft has been demoing some concepts of the service and the results are very promising. The example shown at the Tech-Ed conference has a single game running on Windows, Windows Phone 7 and Xbox 360. Each version of the game is identical, save for the controls.
